On my Windows 10 Home PC, screensaver and power options screen option don't work after enabling them.
Any suggestions to get either to work?

Yes, I and re-booted again, and still doesn't work.
I also did a Windows update, rebooted, and doesn't work.
The Power Option Hibernate takes about a minute to wake up, so don't like that.

me just saying

they were not the only suggestions in that referenced thread. anyway, you can try a system restore to a restore point to before it was working.

Hi all
I tried all the suggestions from many links including:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ndows-10/cc5d2c52-6d36-4e0d-abbe-afa05d026e05

https://windowsreport.com/screen-sa...isn,Change screen saver under Personalization.
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/screensaver-not-working-in-windows-10/
... except clean boot, which sounds risky and hard to un-do.
I've also done virus scan, disk scan etc.
I then gave up, and tried googling on other problem (ie my battery only lasts 1 hour), and found a link which said if I didn't need BlueTooth to disable it via Settings / Network-Internet / Airplane-mode / turn off blue-tooth.
I tried it, and lo and behold... per chance, both the ScreenSaver and Screen part of Power Options both work fine now.

I tried all these options and more, and gave up.
But... per chance, I was trying to fix an unrelated battery problem, and it was suggested I disable blue-tooth.
I tried it, and both the ScreenSaver and Screen part of Power Options both work fine now.
