I'm in a hotel with a generic wireless network ie single SSID, PSK security with multiple access points (physical routers/repeaters) on each floor.
Using a wifi analyser I can identify the router closest to my room and I have identified its MAC address.
How can I set windows wireless networking to only connect to this AP? I've tried setting the roaming aggressiveness to 1 but it still 'hunts' and constantly changes between the APs since it sees several APs on the same SSID/Network, which is causing connectivity issues.
I want to lock the Wi-Fi card to one physical AP, the closest one with the best line of sight.
I know Win 10 isn't great at managing wireless networks from the client side but maybe someone has come up with a way using netsh or other tools.
Thanks.
