Synaptics Track-Pad And Windows 8

A quick question. I know that Windows 8 is best experienced on a touch-screen, but I was thinking of upgrading anyway.
I'm using an older HP and it has the Synaptics track-pad that allows multi-touch, pinch and zoom, etc.
I was wondering if the gestures (swiping in the from the sides and two-finger scrolling) would work effectively on W8?

Yes, they do work. You will need to install the latest synaptics drivers and you will be good to go. I prefer to use my laptop with the touchpad because it works better!!
