Nokia Music App not finding all my tunes

the thread title says it all. anyone have an idea how to add the rest of my music to Nokia Music for Win8 app? i have a 2 TB drive almost full of tunes i've ripped from cd's (yes, all my music is legal) but Nokia Music has only discovered maybe 10 percent of the total collection. i can understand the app not seeing the few tunes/albums i've gotten from iTunes but a vast majority of the tunes are in mpp3 format. any help will be greatly appreciated
