Ok guys I am in the market for a new computer. I've MacBook pros for the past 8 years and haven't looked much into windows for a while. My new job does not support Mac , so I need something with windows. I'm looking for something that is relatively light (under 3.5 lbs), touchscreen, decent sized hard drive 256gb would be enough. SSD preferred. And last thing would be awesome if it could run a few games, I've been playing war Z and would like to continue haha.

My budget is about $1,400. I'm debating on getting a laptop AND surface rt. that way all of my gadgets would be the same. I'd be ok just getting a laptop if its ultra portable and can meet my needs.

    What do you guys suggest?

How about an ASUS ZENBOOK UX31A? It's very light, sporting a 3rd gen Intel Core i7 processor, 256GB SSD, 13.3" Full HD touchscreen display, 4GB of RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 4000. And of course Windows 8.
    It's $1,217.97 on Amazon.

Amazon.com: Samsung ATIV Book 9 NP900X3E-K01US 13.3-Inch Full HD Premium Ultrabook (Ash Black): Computers & Accessories

A little more expensive but it should be able to do some light gaming. I know its integrated but the intel hd 4000's aren't bad. mw3 runs fine on them. 1080 screen and 2.56lbs!!!!!

Have you thought about the new Haswell powered laptops? I believe there are very few models in the Market right now but nothing as compelling as Macbook Air.

I have thought about the Haswell computers, anyone know of a good model to go with that has that? Unfortunately the MacBook air won't work for what I need. I am heading to best buy tomorrow to get some hands on with different models and see how I like them.

I would highly recommend Lenovo. I think the IdeaPad U410 Touch could be a good fit for you. The only thing that doesn't match up with your preferences is the weight but 3.5 lbs is very very light so it would be very hard to find a high performance laptop that light. Look at the last model listed for $1,099. IdeaPad U410 Touch | Lenovo (US)

I would recommend the Lenovo Yoga, but I don't know what kind of games you would play. If integrated graphics would be enough, then that opens many more options but I chose the U410 because it had a dedicated graphics card.

I went to Best buy today and looked at a few computers. One that stuck out was the Lenovo Yoga. The people at the store all seemed to really like it and the reviews that Ive seen online all seem to be pretty good. Do you guys think that it will fit my needs?

I also grabbed a Surface RT while I was there, so far this thing is pretty awesome! haha

I really liked the yoga. I honestly don't game much, I was able to play my games on my MacBook Pro using bootcamp. The MBP had a integrated graphics card so I'm thinking that integrated graphics cards would be fine. I don't need to run my games on ultra high or anything.

Then I would really go with the Yoga. They have the 13 inch model but now they have the 11S which is an 11 inch model that runs a full Windows 8 to replace the Yoga 11 which ran RT so you have a bit of options. Personally, if I were to buy a new laptop, I would end up getting either the Lenovo Yoga 11S or the Microsoft Surface Pro.

I ended up getting a surface rt and a Samsung series 7 ultra. I like the fact that the Samsung is easily upgradable to 16gigs of ram and the matte screen. I would have had to order the yoga without seeing it, I figured that if I don't like the Samsung ill return it and get the yoga. Thanks for the help guys!
