Big Update for Facebook app for Windows 8.!

Official Facebook app received big update in terms of functionality for Win8

1. Reshare post through message or timeline.
2. Download pic, make it as profile pic or set as lock screen options after opening picture from any post. :wink:
3. Picture messages are now supported.
4. Support for attach location in messages.
5. Share charm support to share from other win8 apps to Facebook.:smile:
6. Messenger only snap mode.

Windows 8.1 automatically updates apps its self. So it is very possible there is an update, and it has already downloaded and installed on your machine

Uninstall the facebook app, then install it again from the store, if you want to force it...

no need to uninstall....go to settings in store...click on app updates then click on check for updates.....if you want to manually install update....

I wish there is a toast notification "Facebook app has been updated to version XX.XX" anyway good to see FB app for Win 8.1 getting updates regularly

The latest update has completely regressed functionality. Can't scroll, can't change views, can't do much at all...

There was an update today that removed ALL the nice changes.
-No share charm
-No adding photo on messaging
-No adding location on messaging
-No saving photos

NOTHING!

I wonder what made them backtrack so drastically. I feel cheated.
