Long a company known to slowly change its software products over many years, Microsoft not only listened to customers but took complaints to heart in a very short period.     The upgrade from 8 to 8.1 is fast for Microsoft. That type of quick upgrade is usually only seen in Linux distros (and Mac OS X more recently).

    It took 16 months for Windows 7 to get SP1.
