XBOX Music devices for replacing Zune devices

My family uses Zunes for mp3 players. We have one of each generation in our home and they work great. I'm wondering when they finally break, what will we replace them with? I don't need a Windows Phone for just playing music. I just want to sync and playback music (both tracks that I own and ones that I'm subscribing to via the xbox music plan). Are there any options out there for this requirement? What are longtime Zune users using to replace their Zunes with?

Xbox Music is only going to work WP phones as far as phones/mp3 players go. Have you considered getting a Lumia 520? It can be had for $100 or less and has a spot for an SD card. It can be fully used without cell service (obviously not calls).

I agree, a Lumia 520 can do the job. I'm not sure of its audio quality (I am fine with my Lumia 920 vs. my Zune HD, especially since the 920 has an equalizer, not the preset-only options of the Zune HD), but it is sub-$150, and you'd have access to MOST of the games/apps on Windows Phone (there are quite a few larger titles which only support devices with 1 GB of RAM).

I too vote for a Lumia 520.

Another option is ebay for a Zune HD but you're going to get way more by going with the Lumia 520.
