Album art hit or miss Nokia 1520 on 8.1

On my third windows phone now, and I've never had this issue so bad. It seems that no matter if I use WMP, dragging and dropping, the Windows Phone app, or MediaMonkey- Xbox Music only displays about 1/4 of the album art for the music I sync. I've tried countless workarounds, but none reliably solve the issue. Any input? It's so hard to stay loyal to Windows Phone when simple things like this never work consistently.

Transferring music to the phone will not add album art to your music. That has to be done by you with some software.
When music is in a library on your PC the software makes you think you have album art.
When it is on your phone the album art has to be in the mp3 tag for the music file.
There is no workaround.
Used to be an app but I don't see it now.
