What apps are actually worth purchasing? I always tend to be hesitant on actually purchasing an app versus just trying to find something free that might be similar. While most are only a few dollars, I've seen some that are actually $30 or more.

Just wanted to get some thoughts!

Tubecast pro is great especially if you have an Xbox 1. I cast videos from my SP3and windows phone all the time.

It depends on each person's needs. Are there any specific apps you have in mind?

Many apps have trial versions, so you may see if you like them before buying them.

Calendar Import for me (as I receive a lot of meeting requests)
Car Puzzles for Kids (gotta keep the youngling entertained)
I think that's it for me. Everything else I use is either free or in-browser.

Thus far I purchased, Livescape for calorie tracking. GymAce for tracking workouts. Readit for reddit. Mass effect infiltrator (game). Manuganu 2 (game). Modern Combat 5 (game). It's all dependent on your needs. Apps are solutions to our problems.
