Why is my Mail/Calendar unavailable?

Mail/Calendar is unavailable

A month now I have noticed that my Windows 8.1 mail and calendar apps are not working properly.
The mail application selectively syncing emails.
The calendar application will not sync my main calendar, but only one or two others.
In the upper right corner a message appears: email_address is unavailable
This email address is also my microsoft account and it works fine through my windows phone.

I contacted Microsoft and they remotely tried to access my computer. After trying a few things, they told me that they can fix it in no time, but I will have to enroll in a premium support package. I think that this is not reasonable, so i told them i will not proceed.

Any ideas?

Happened to me too and then went away, so everything works just fine now. I'd probably guess that it's just a glitch in some of Microsoft's servers.

mine has not worked in months from the app but if I go online and access my outlook.com address no issues highly unacceptable
