upgrade path from 2013 to 2016 for office 365

Hi with 2016 coming this month, I'm curious to know if anyone knows what the upgrade path will be? By that I mean will I have to uninstall 2013 hunt down 2016 and install it or will there be an option to update automatically for 365 users?

I read somewhere it will be available for download upon release, and will automatically update sometime after.

You can install 2016 right on top of your 2013 install.

Go into any office app, and select Account from the menu, then Manage Account. You will be opened up to your web page to manage your account, where you can install the new version. It's out and available now.

I am in the same boat, I get the feeling its something that our university has to enable first.

i got an answer from the distributor support. it's going to come sooner or later. but microsoft is doing a roll out in several steps.
maybe similiar to windows 10 roll out. but we are supposed to get it. so yeah its coming
