How many devices can Office 365 Personal be loaded on?

I've heard that Office 365 Personal can be loaded on a pc plus a tablet under one account. If I were to keep my laptop but also then purchase say, a surface pro 4......will one copy of Office 365 Personal work for both or would I need to get a Home Office 365 edition?

this question would be best answered through the chat service from Microsoft or from a person who already has this kind of scenario.

But the way I see it, the surface pro 4 can be considered as a laptop
