Office 365 subscription, but not an Office 365 account - help?

Hi, it's been a long time since posting, but I've come accross an issue that's a bit frustrating.

I'm well invested in the MS Ecosystem but gave up on Windows Mobile for iOS a while ago.

I like using the Outlook app on iOS, but it wasn't possible to manage contacts properly until a while ago. Now it is available for Office 365 accounts to create a one-way sync of "People" to the iOS device's contacts via iCloud. I would find this a nicer solution than using the accounts option within the Contacts app on iOS - the 2-way sync is quite buggy. I want to control everything from within the Outlook for iOS app.

Since I've been subscribing to Office 365 for about 1 year now (I've had an outlook.com email address for much longer), I assumed my account type was Office 365, rather than outlook.com.

But when I set up my account on Outlook for iOS, I try to set it up as an Office 365 account, but it will not recognise it. It is only an outlook.com account.

This is strange because for example OneDrive has the extra 1TB of storage etc., so MS knows I am a subscriber.

Am I missing something here?

My own email address is a @live.com but it had office 365

The office 365 account type when you're signing in is most probably related to O365 accounts for enterprises or education

Yes, everything works fine setting it up as outlook.com I just don't get the full functionality.

I also thought that it might need to be an enterprise or education account.
