I have tried to force the update, and I have just tried looking for the update -- both times to no avail. Why does my HTC Arrive say I have the current software when it does not? Anyone else have this problem?

Cause it is a staggered roll out for the update the normal way, sometimes the force trick works sometimes it doesn't. I suggest keep trying it eventually you'll get the timing down for the trick to work.

But doesnt the HTC Arrive officially have Mango update now? Thats what this says http://www.windowscentral.com/offici...et-mango-today

Took me about 50 times but it finally worked. The trick I used was turning off my wi-fi connection before it was even done checking for the update. Try it and eventually it'll work.

YES! Got it to work. Might be it doesnt work on my Mac but does on my PC.

Yes, but it is still a staggered rollout to get a notification. X% initially, then another chunk after a week or so etc.
