I'm seriously considering buying a T-Mo Lumia 710, unlock it, then put it on AT&T. How would the WP7 updates work? As I understand it, the carrier has to approve updates for their phones. Since AT&T doesn't have the Lumia 710 in their lineup, would they issue updates for it?
I'm not certain, you might want to ask in the general forum about updates to devices unlocked and put on another carrier.
But I wouldn't be suprised if T-Mobile controls your updates. Not that its a bad thing as historically T-Mobile has pushed updates b4 AT&T. T-Mobile is currently working on 8107.
