How you know the Camera issues are all software

I was thinking there is no way Nokia would put so much effort in branding the camera and then have inferior hardware...So I said it must be in the software.

I took two photos.. One using the stock camera app, the other using "Pro Cam" from the app Fhotoroom

I took about 5 mins and tried to get the stock app to focus on the mouse...No luck, even tried using touch focus and the hardware button.

Procam got it on the 1st shot (!!!!)

This is because the built-in camera app on the Lumia is being silly and wants you to switch the Focus mode to "Macro" instead of "Normal". Why? I don't know. But no other Windows Phone I've used did this. My Samsung Focus and HTC Titan both auto changed to Macro mode when taking closeup shots. WTH Nokia.

I might have to give that a try when my phone shows up tomorrow.
