Just wondering if having WiFi on uses more battery life then just keeping cell data on?
Thanks

You're absolutely wrong. Wifi uses less battery than 3G or LTE. This has been fact for as long as smart phones have been around.

cell network drains battery more than wifi
If the phone is continuing to look for wifi connections, that will also drain the battery. I turn off wifi if i am not in a wifi zone.

Jakoh
wifi does not use more battery that LTE or 3g while active. Inactive if not turned off, it can because it must wake every beacon period to listen for data.
