lol wut? Are you serious? That's OS 101 right there.
You are obviously not contributing anything to the forum besides trolling. ANYONE that has been interested in WP7 and researched the OS KNEW this problem and since November of last year, people on this forum have addressed this issue as something they would like to see changed. Dismiss yourself

Also, reading about the issue with only being able to save one mobile number. While that sucks, if you go into your text conversation and hit the two arrows, you can use alternate numbers to text

    - WP7 OS UI is attractive, fluid, very clear and easy to read.
    - Phone is very well made, durable, attractive and unique looking
    - SuperAMOLED+ screen is beautiful
    - Performance is excellent, speedy in general
    - Battery life is good
    - Call quality, reception is very good
    - Speaker sound quality is excellent
    - Nokia's support so far has been absolutely first rate

    - Multitasking could be better, some apps restart instead of resume.
    - Color coded notification light would be great.
    - Some popular apps/games not available yet.
    - Unibody is so sexy that it's difficult not to fondle it inappropriately.

Not yet, but its been stated it's coming with the Tango update, which has been apparently slated for June.

I wish I knew how to shut off the very short-duration vibrate every single time you tap the back button. Seems like that would unnecessarily use battery power.

Trying to clean up the forum is stupid and I am not understanding it. Different issues for different things. If you want to search for an issue you have you have to search and won't find a solution!

I had an issue with my Gmail not syncing with the Lumia 900. I tried waiting several hours like some had suggested but didn't want to set it up as a POP or IMAP.

Note: I did not have 2-step verification enabled on my Gmail account so that wasn't the issue either.

I eventually decided to open up the IE broswer on my Lumia to login directly to the gmail mobile Web site. I signed in without any issue.

As soon as I exited out of the IE mobile browser, my Gmail was syncing and has been fine ever since.

I am not sure how that fixed it, but it did. A friend of mine was having the same issue and tried this fix and it worked for him.

If you have the issue and try this, let me know it it works.
    why is this post here?

    Everything except one thing

Either Microsoft or AT&T needs to fix the battery drain issue with a Microcell.

People are so spoiled by small features of iOS and Android is sounds. I am so used to windows phone, none of these things bother me, but going away from 4g, live tiles, skydrive, zune pass, and the lumia design would stink!

Pros and Cons people... WP is an OS that has intangibles that grow on you, it is hard to explain!
I couldn't have said it better myself!

    1) Solid hardware feel, I really don’t mind the weight
    2) Battery life I managed to get 18 hours with 3% still left on it!! This thing is like the energizer bunny!
    3) OS is very different from what you are used too and looks nice and feels very smooth no matter what.
    4) Price
    5) LTE capability and it works really good compared to competitors in my area.
    6) The integration with some of live services like messenger and skydrive.
    7) Nokia Drive is very useful over here because there areas in the mountains where there’s no signal so having the maps on the phone is a big plus… Also the GPS on this phone is fast… really, really fast acquiring a good lock. Puts my Galaxy s2 and WebOS to shame…

    1) There is a very good amount of apps that I miss from other OS like WebOS and Android. Also apps prices are a bit high. Also no matter how much people hate flash it is still necessary for some sites, so having it would be good.
    2) Strange noise when it vibrates
    3) The camera and options compared with my Galaxy S2 is crap. Sorry but it is…
    4) I would love to close background apps easier… like WebOS… If the ask hp for the patent maybe they can reach an agreement now that HP is just sitting on WebOS.
    5) Missing wireless A/N 5ghz Radio, Unable to join a wlan with WPA2 Enterprise authentication and notification LED.
    6) If for example you put a 4 number password/pin and somebody tries guessing the will know is a 4 number password/pin because the phone stops at 4 numbers and prompts incorrect password making it easier to password guess. But the pattern unlock in Android… Love it
    7) Does not want to download Microsoft outlook/exchange attachments. Works fine on WebOS, Android and iOS. Will check if theres something server side but doubt it..

Will I keep the phone past 30 days? Probably not because there some very important apps/utilities that I need for my job that there no equivalent on WP7. Like Wireless Analyzer, Network diagnostic tools (ping, trace route,DNS tools, ssh, etc),Teamviewer, remote desktop, dropbox. And i really use the phone camera a LOT to take pictures of my kids and i would like those to look good.

Will I try again yes when WP8 comes out and hardware specs get bumped.

I wrote teamviewer about an app and they seem interested in doing it if there demand for it so those who use it let them know…

I know some of you don't like the OS being compared or criticized i felt the same way when people did it with webOS but sometimes it's whats make a platform a success or a bust though MS has lots of resources to keep WP alive. I dont like iOS, not a fan of Android either for me the Best OS was WebOS but we all know the fate. So i was really hoping for WP7 to fill that void.

I too wrote Teamviewer...Please everyone write them and ask for support on this device!

On another note I can't get windows live to sync...I have tried everything.

    I've hard reset
deleted all emails in WL account and calendars...Everything...even disassociated LinkedIn and Twitter and others....

    yahoo and google fine...facebook fine.

Just started off with the windows live and NOTHING.

Its ok because I don't use it but the fact alone that the windows phone wont sync with a windows service through a windows computer is truly bad.

    Any ideas?

So far, I like the screen and the fluidity.

Not having the apps you need is a clear sign that you're better off on a different platform until those apps (or equivalent) appear. However, I will say that if you're looking for a WP with a good camera than you're probably better off with the Titan II.

    1. Weird Bluetooth, can't be connected to your car and use Voice Turn By Turn.
Also no tones, text or email work when connected to BT.

    2. Headset volume when listening to music is the same settings for the Ringtones, so if your ringer is set high, like 25 or higher and you plug into a headset and start your music, be prepared to blow out your ear drums. No separate media volume.

    3. No Video MMS, and No Picture MMS when on WiFi. MMS ONLY works on ATT Network.

    4. No 1080 video recording. Camera takes ok shots, has some strange pink spot when you look at a all white background thru the camera lens.

    5. No Vibration for Text or eMail

    6. Vibration has some weird rattle when it starts

    7. No real multi tasking, when you leave an app, you sometimes have to restart it. Like if your using Nokia Drive, it will not run in the background. So if you get a phone call, it looses the GPS signal.

    8. Phone is kinda heavy. weighs more than the iPhone 4S.

    9. Limited number of Apps.

    10. If you have a Contact picture set for someone, no matter where you get the picture, when that person calls you and you get a Caller ID, he picture is blurry. I've tried using the camera to take the shot, from my computer, doesn't matter.
    1. I use Garmin...I know it costs $29.99 but it is a true full fledged GPS that works great and over BT. I get text and emails sounds on BT, but your phone has to be in Media mode which is separate from Radio. If someone calls me it auto switches, but if I use BT audio separately, I need to go into that mode in my cars radio... weird I know, but it is a car limitation, not the phone.

    2. I agree...but you learn quickly.

    3. I agree...but never really been a big deal to me. I know this is supposed to be fixed in an update TBD.

    4. Do people really need 1080p recording? Really there is not much of a noticeable difference. The camera could be better, but I think its a software fix.

    5. Go to settings, sounds and check "all other notifications"

    6. I know some phones have this issue...mine doesn't...go exchange it.

    7. Not all apps are Mango yet oddly...otherwise multitasking is fine. All the iPhone does is pause an app...not real multitasking and Android multitasking consist of killing your battery.

    8. I prefer the heavier sturdy design. My Focus S was wayyyy to light.

    9. Really??? This story again? WP has most of the apps if not they have 3rd party apps that often work better...MetroRadio (Pandora).

    10. Mine does the same thing...not really a big deal to me.

I agree. I used to be a windows phone geek 2005-2007. Im impressed how windows refreshed the OS. Over the device is sexy but needs better features. I cant wait for 7.8 update for At&t. My Lumina 900 is my secondary phone next too my galaxy S3. There's not a phone on the market right I've tested tops the S3 or galaxy note.
