Well, I just went though this with two Lumia 900 phones. I bought both phones for $449 each. After I received my phones and transfer everything i needed to transfer, I went to eBay's Instant Sale program and received $300 for each iPhone 4S (16gb, more if you have 32 or 64gb version). So, that's $449 (no tax through amazon) minus $300, minus the $100 credit = $49 each.
To me, that's a win - win situation. I get the saving and no contract or extended contract and Nokia get's the $349 profit.
