So, I got my Lumia 800 a few weeks ago, and just a few days ago I read on the forum that the 12072 update is out. My current version is 12070, so I guess I should be able to update to the latest version through Zune. However, my Zune tells me that I already have the latest update - 12070.

Why can't I update to 12072? Is it a territory problem, 'cause I'm from Croatia? Or could it be a problem with my Zune? I'm sure Zune and the phone are synced and everything because I have a dev-unlocked phone and I can deploy apps on it without problems.

12072 is minor firmware update. It exists as it fixes an audio bug which was introduced in the 12070 firmware. Due to the 12072 being such a small update. Most carriers will be electing not to bother with this firmware revision and wait for the next major one, that being Tango/ Mango Refresh (Whatever you'd like to call it).

In terms of your situation, I believe yes this will be region specific issue. It is likely a lot of people will not see the 12072 firmware.

If you really want to have the firmware you could always force flash it:

But there are several consideration to take when carrying out such a process and honestly, the 12072 really isn't that major, providing you keep your volume level above 15, you will never experience the audio bug.

I am using an unbraded USA Lumia 800 with 12070 (latest version for me). I originally forced the Vodafone 12072 but it seemed to lower my battery life and cause a few other bugs. So I reverted back to 12070.

You may not have any issues, but if you do you can go back to your original firmware fairly easily.

Hi Nurb76. I have updated my device and everything is fine. If I get in trouble, how can I revert to the older version?

If it comes to that, just message me and I will help you through the process.
