Hi All
So I finally bought a Nokia Lumia 800 sim free the other day, been liking it very much. That is apart from the battery. Today it has barely lasted the working day with minimal use.
Anyway, I heard that the an update has addressed this poor battery performance, so I've installed Zune and tried to update the phone to the latest firmware (which I can only assume I'm not on).
Upon opening Zune and going to the sync options and clicking update, it just hangs there. I can see an increased amount of web traffic but I've left it for half an hour and I'm not convinced it's doing anything.
I've reinstalled it, updated windows and ensured that Zune is up to date but no luck.
I couldn't find a problem like this on Google, certainly not with a solution anyway.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with
1) Determining what version of the firmware I'm on. If it's the latest Tango then that renders all of this moot, as the battery consumption isn't really acceptable.
2) Kicking Zune up the bottom and encouraging it to update my firmware.
If anyone can help me it would be very appreciated.
