    I had this working on my HTC Titan with ST, but I get this stupid message on my 900 to contact ATT (brilliant idea! NOT)

    I'm not here to discuss the nuances of whether it is within the TOS/TOC, just want to know if you can click the off on slider and it generate a hotspot.

    I can't.

    It says I have to call 611 or contact AT&T to get the service activated.

    It's the only thing about my new phone that I don't like.

    Yeah, my data works.

    I get 4.5mb down and about .5mb up most days.

    No internet sharing, though.

    Ok, I was reading some posts on XDA dev that indicated installing Network Setup was actually inserting that "shim" message when you click the enable slider. Now that I think about it, I think this might be true as I seem to remember trying the function briefly before Network Setup was re-released. I don't feel like resetting my phone at the moment to test that theory but if true, it means network Setup could be updated to fix this problem.

    Was this ever confirmed? I use AT&T, but am growing tired of the number of errors on their end and customer service related issues.
