Issues with lockscreen - can't unlock without powering off.

Hi,

Well I accidentally washed my 800 in the washing machine. Managed to dry it out and it works perfectly apart from this issue. The screen works perfectly, scrolls etc but as soon as screenlock activates I cannot unlock it. Also the same when trying to power off - I cant slide the screen down. Only way to use the phone is to power off with the button and power back on to access the buttons.

Any idea how this can be fixed? I understand if I send it to Nokia they won't look at it as it has been in water (which I understand.)

Don't want to lose the phone as I really like it.

Unfortunately, it appears that the water damaged the device and that is affecting the lockscreen. Nokia will not repair it with warranty, but you could have it repaired if you pay them. Otherwise, you will need to get a new device or get a used device as a replacement.
