Okay. When 625 became official, I immediately read its official specs. And man, this has a better processor (1.2Ghz vs. 1Ghz), 4G capability, no NFC though, same battery, smaller ppi, cured glass too, same capacity and non removable battery, 1080p recording compared to 720p recording of 720, and tons more. And, seeing that it's in the 62x range, this phone might be priced lower than that of 720.

I own one and I'm kinda getting disappointed on how this 625 could sweep 720 off its feet. Especially that it might be priced at a lower point. Well not at least in photography.

Lumia 720 users, Lumia 620 users, and all WP users, what can you say about this phone?

I'm also a Lumia 720 owner (a recent one btw.) and had the feeling I had made a bad choice because Nokia just positioned the Lumia 625 slightly above the Lumia 720, but having a close look I think it's still not comparable. We all already know that the WP8 ecosystem is not very power hungry so the extra 0.2 GHz won't bring any noticeable performance advantages (IMO). The 4G capability is nice, but were I live I won't have 4G untill beginning 2014 so another uninteresting feature for me. Having the same battery but faster processor and larger screen will make the battery drain faster than that from the Lumia 720 for sure. One of the good things is obviously that big screen which I would have liked for the top range Lumias. Was always wondering why Nokia didn't put larger screens on the Lumia 920/925/928 and 1020 for example.

For now, I'm happy with the L720 and it's awesome camera. Maybe beginning of next year I upgrade to a Lumia 920/925 or who knows, maybe a Lumia 825 with 5.0" screen?

The main differences, and what puts the 720 above the 625 are the camera and better screen. Clearblack AMOLED is much nicer to look at than the 625s non Clearblack IPS screen.

Here 625 is more expensive than the 720 by around $40..Might go on sale if it wont get the expected market sales.

P.S. Even more expensive than the 820 by $20...But if youre in just for the screen then it would be nice I guess

I forgot.. add around 8 more bucks to the Lumia 625 and you can get a Ativ S here..So I wouldn't call it a budget phone within the low end range

720 have better camera , 720 have better screen , 625 is costlier , 625 will eventually consume more battery , 625 dont have nokia s clearblack dispaly technology , 625 is heavier , viewing angle of 720 is much better than 625 , 625 dont have NFC , 625 only have a VGA secondary camera.
