FM Radio in 822 Amber??

Hello, just recently I updated to Amber. I wanted to try FM Radio, but my phone tells me I need to use earphones with the radio built-in. Now, I didn't get any earphones with it.... How am I supposed to get this to work?

You'll need headphones. The headphones act as the antenna. That's how it's been with all Nokia Windows Phones that have FM radio.

Excuse my ignorance, but if that's the case, how come the 928 has no ability for FM? Wouldn't the only thing needed for external headphone antennas on 928 be software drivers?

You'd have to ask Verizon why the 928 doesn't have it at this time.

That is because Nokia did not include proper hardware in the 928. I believe the chip is capable but the circuit for connection to antenna is not there.

I have the 8x on vzw and am glad to gave fm radio. I'll use it a lot! I'm disappointed to hear the 928 doesn't have it, will probably prevent me from getting it.

I have not been able to get the FM radio to work after the update. I have a cheap set of earbuds that I have been using for music. Using them, the FM doesn't work. It may be because I am so far out that the FM signals are not strong enough. When I get back to civilization, I will try it to see for sure. Anyone else have this on the 822?
