Keyboard/Lock Screen Noise Muted

I've had the 8XT for about a month and love it, but starting last week, I noticed the noise for text messages, the keyboard, and the noise when I slide up the lock screen are all severely muted. Clearing any lint from the speakers didn't work.

I noticed that it's only those few sounds. My alarm, actual ringtone, screen shot noise, camera shutter, etc, all work loud and clear.

Is there some separate volume control that I'm unaware of? It's just a small issue, but I sort of miss being able to really hear the keyboard without cranking my volume up to 20.

Muted probably wasn't the best word to use. More like severely muffled. I can hear it, but at a fraction of the level I once could. I know there are settings where you can turn off the noise for individual items, such as the lock screen and keyboard, but this is definitely not the case.

I would think that something was wrong with the speakers, yet there are other basic features that sound loud and crisp.
