Cannot update past 7.10.7740.16

Hi,

I am in the UK on O2, and never got a message on my phone indicating there was an update when WP7.8 was released. The phone was originally branded T-Mobile (and still displays the T-Mobile splash screen on boot up), but I got it unlocked to use my O2 sim.

When I connect to Zune, it reports that the phone is up-to-date. I have also tried the force update trick, whereby you remove your ethernet cable a couple seconds after clicking "Update", but this never worked. Has anyone else had this problem? Would it be Microsoft or Samsung I contact regarding this? The about screen displays:

I would contact Samsung and O2 about this they might not be releasing the update for the device.
