No Low Battery Sound notification?

My Lumia 521 seems to die without giving me some sort of low battery audio notification. Is there one on the device I am missing - don't see it in settings. If not available, is there a free app that would do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should hear a 'Battery Critically Low' sound when your battery hits 10%. You should also get a notification you have to acknowledge when the sound is triggered.

Thanks, is there any way to change this notification sound to a custom tone? I must be missing this notification for some reason.

If you update your phone to the GDR3 preview you can change notification sounds, but I'm not sure you will be able to change the critical battery sound. I suspect what's happening is the way your phone volume resets itself to 13/30 (this is what my phone does) after every restart. They added this with the amber update in the eu to comply with regulations. This might explain why you don't hear it?

Using a battery app will sound a toast notification when it gets low.
