Cannot install Zune on my laptop so how am I supposed to update my phone?? I wouldn't have bought it

Yes I did, have spoke to Zune again today, they think its my computer that seems to be blocking Zune from installing. Microsoft want ?70 to try and sort it out!!!

Are you trying to install it as an administrator?
What kind of antivirus software are you running?

Yes as administrator and on a separate user account, in safe mode too. I use Norton and disabled that as well but still the same error code

When all else fails, a Desert Eagle .50 cal works wonders on misbehaving computers. Lord knows it does on balky transmissions.

Try doing a silent install as mentioned here. Also make sure you use the correct version (x64/x86)
