Whatsapp background data restricted

Hi guys, every time I using mobile data, whatsapp show me background data restricted and ask me to turn off the setting in data sense:

Whatsapp (2.11.490)
Nokia Lumia 525 (wp8.0 black)

But I didn't turn on the "restrict background data" options. I set 1 GB, resets on day 1 of each month because I wanna see how much bandwidth I have used before speed quota.


Turn on Wi-Fi or set data limit type to "unlimited" will solve the problem. But I won't be able to see how much bandwidth I have used before quota resetted. Provider doesn't allow us to check quota, so data sense this is the only way I can estimate.

I am getting the same issue too..so i stopped keeping track,of data through data sense. Can any body give any idea

Yapmeo: Thanks for your post.. I was pulling my hair out thinking I'd done something to my phone, when I knew I hadn't.
My Nokia 925 has been fine, up until today, when I attempted to use Whatsapp, and got this rubbish... Your workaround helps, so thanks again..

Why does one app has to force us to reconfigure Data Sense just for it to work?? Makes no sense at all

Are you sure? I'm still having the problem. What's worse is if background data is restricted WhatsApp only works in the background. It does the total opposite of what we want...
