Nokia Lumia 710 software upgrades available ?

Hi,
Is it possible to upgrade software to my Nokia Lumia 710 without having to BUY a new model ? (eg: I had Skype on it but got removed, can't call with Whatsapp and limited to see many YouTube videos etc...)
Supporting less obscene consumerist tactics and more honest service to human cooperation.

You can upgrade to Windows Phone 7.8 at the most.

For all intents and purposes, no WP7 phone is upgradeable to WP8 and newer. WP8 does have Skype as you know, but no WhatsApp calling as of now I believe.

So sadly a newer phone is recommended. However you can probably get a good deal on an older, lower-end/midrange WP8 model like the 520.
