I just received a new update today. It was pretty quick, taking 5-10 minutes. I already had the MMS fixing update so this is not it.

No idea what's different.

Is anyone having issues installing? I've tried repeatedly, but encounter the 0x80188308 error.

I've been getting that same error. Kinda pissing me off. I've reset the phone twice and it still won't install.

First time I reset it and did the restore before installing so today I reset it and skipped all the restore and activation stuff and still got error 0x80188308.

I think it might be the same error I get with Skype when trying to install it.

Same here. It says it's temporary, but I've tried like 6 times already. I enabled auto-download and install,and my phone blue screened!

Anyone make any progress?

I'm not sure if its time to Tweet HTC, Sprint or MS? And are we the last 3 people using an 8XT who would even care?

My phone still won't update either. I even installed the ms phone reboot app. That said my phone was fine.

Mine appears to have somehow gone through. For the last several weeks it would download, reboot, then fail, but this morning my phone says it's to date.

It'll say that for a day or two and go right back to the annoying update cycle.

This has been bugging the crap out of me for a while. Every time I get a failed update random apps don't work anymore and need reinstalled. Fandango was the last victim.
