Why do I get error 0x80188308 on my HTC 8s I can't update my phone?

why do i get error 0x80188308 on htc 8s cant update my phone

hello im having this problem for 5 months since jun and i hate the notification that says a update is available. i have a wp 8s with the OS version 8.10.14219.341. When i cheek for updates it says an update is ready to download . windows phone 8.1 .- this update fixes a critical issues that may cause your device to periodically reboot. please install it now so that your phone will keep working as intended.
i download over 15 times but shows at the and this error 0x8018830. i reset all data from the beginning and make it 1.12 gb free space i did every thing that i learned from forums i tried everything that was posible the only way is to connect with pc and to fix it with a program or dose anyone know anything better now i dont know what to do i just want to smash my phone and by a iphone but im poor right now.

Looks like its more of a widespread issue. It might have been fixed for Lumia devices but not for other manufacturers. A mod may want to move this to the HTC 8S forum so someone who has had experience with this may be able to assist.

I think Microsoft firstly made tie-ups with other brands for os and after didn't provide service for long periods.

MS has tie-ups with OEMs but if a feature requires the OEM to develop the drivers how can Microsoft be at fault?
