1) I'll try and remember to check this out

2) If you are looking for quality pen support, this isn't it. It only uses the rubber nub type stylus so the action isn't smooth enough for fast note taking, IMHO. If you want to spend a lot of time on pen input I'd look at Dell Venue Pro series, Encore Write or Surface.

2-a) OneNote itself is great and the Office 2013 license is a big value added package.

It runs really smooth on 2520. It also seems super comprehensive. My wife and I were both impressed. She's almost wanting to purchase it, except the price tag is a bit much. LOL

Has a nice note card function and you could save those to SD (Pictures Folder) to export easily off the device. Did not try it on PC so I don't know how it would sync lessons and notes, etc...
