Last week's photo contest was inspired by our current busy season of travel. This week, it's the same source of inspiration that provided me an idea for a much different theme. Patterns. The image up top I took at London King's Cross station on my Lumia 830 ? with a little Photoshop tweaking after ? of the roof. It's the same pattern repeated across the main concourse and when lit up at night is quite striking.

Rules

Rules are going to be just like last week. Here they are:

- Picture must be taken with a Windows Phone
- Picture must be uploaded to the contest thread (linked below)
- You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software or apps you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine, this is art
- Feel free to add a little back story, we want to know how the picture came to be
- You must have used a valid email address to register here at Windows Central, so I know how to contact the winner
- Only ONE entry per week per person

How to use Tapatalk to post images in the Windows Central forums

We've got a handy guide for that!

Social

We're going to continue our social sharing of entries. Share any pictures you take for the contest on Instagram, Twitter and Fhotoroom using the following hashtags. It's a fun way to at a glance check out your competition and get inspiration. Plus we're building a community of Windows Phone mobile photographers!

Here's how it looks this week.

- #WCpc
- #PatternsWC

This doesn't count as your entry; it's just a fun way to track the photos on social media. Your entry still needs to be in the forums!

Prize

One winner will get a $25 gift card to the Windows Phone Store. You can use it to buy apps and games in the Windows Phone Store, Windows Store or Xbox Store.

We'll pick a winner Tuesday night (February 17) at 11:59 PM ET. Winners will be announced in a blog post for the contest next week.

Monumental Roots - As we were leaving the Washington Monument during a cold dark night, I noticed how a tree looked with the monument in the background. Taken with my L1020. Don't remember using flash.

The intresting thing about this is that the WALL whose pattern you can notice getting repeated is "WORLD's 2nd LONGEST WALL" its approx 36km long. This place is called FORT OF KUMBALGARH,RAJASTHAN,INDIA :smile:View attachment natego.jpg

This pic was taken at an ancient site in Abhaneri (Rajasthan, India). Taken on my Lumia 920 and cross processed with picsart. Chand Baori (stepwell) was built around 900-1000AD. The kings used to climb down the symmetrical steps to take a bath and pray. This is one of the oldest step wells found in this region.

Shot on my 1020 using Lumia Camera and edited in Creative Studio. The theme is a marble bench in a very quiet park in Nicosia, Cyprus.
