I think one could argue that the Snapdragon 800 will provide "high end" performance, so there is that. Combined with a 720p display (meaning it has fewer pixels to push than its 1080p brethren), will make this the fastest Lumia device currently on the market, bare none.
The slight reductions in other places is what makes it affordable, and lets be honest, 10 MP is still plenty. That is still more than what anyone can view on a 4K display, a display which very few (if anybody) on this site even owns. Of course there are some good reasons to want higher resolutions, like reframing (for which even 20MP is just barely enough), but picture quality definitely isn't one of them.
What I'll be looking at is battery life.
