Jawbone is teasing support for Windows Phone that may come as soon as this week. Additionally, Jawbone is preparing to open its UP software to third parties, specifically, to other hardware manufacturers. This means that Jawbone would be able to collect data into its app from rivals like FitBit, as well as smartwatches running Android Wear, and Apple's long-rumored iWatch, according to Re/code.

Is there any new information on this? It would be nice if this came out soon. I want to buy the UP24 for my wife but not until they release an app

We're in the same boat. I can't believe we're still waiting on this. I can't buy an UP unless they release the darn app.

I don't think my wife would like the Microsoft Band so I'm still looking at buying her a jawbone but that's apparently not going to happen for Christmas. What's worse is the new fitbits aren't coming out until 2015. Now I have to think of more Christmas gifts, lol
