HERE Maps for Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 ditching use of Nokia accounts April 24

HERE Maps app users on Windows Phone and Windows 8.1 won't be able to use their Nokia accounts to sign onto those apps after April 24. They will have to start using the new HERE accounts after that date.

Presumably those old Nokia accounts are now Microsoft accounts, and the new Here accounts are in fact new Nokia accounts.

You shall register for a new Here account and you can transfer all your data, favorites etc. from your Nokia account. I did it today and it was easy and flawless.

Actually the reason I don't use Here maps much on Android is that you have to register and give Nokia your e-mail address to do some useful stuff, such as use offline maps. I can get the equivalent functionality in other mapping apps without registering, so I use those apps instead.
