New Surface Pro 3 firmware update brings Meltdown and Spectre protections

The Surface Pro 3 has joined its Surface brethren in getting an update to protect against Meltdown and Spectre.

Not long after the Meltdown and SPectre processor flaws were disclosed in January, Microsoft began rolling out firmware updates for several of its Surface devices to protect against them.
