another good reason to buy from Dells website, is it is easier to claim the warranty. I purchased a dell a few years ago from Sears once I got it, I immediately order a set of free recovery disks that you can only get if the computer was under warranty. but I found the warranty had to be transferred from Sears to me. they wanted me to get all kinds of info from purchasing agent to their address and date they purchased it. that was impossible. finally after a month of emails and phone calls to Dell, I finally got the warranty and the disks. It was a strange experience.
I have purchased other Dells from Walmart and did not have that problem. but it is something I worry about every time I get one.
