Most people would agree that Microsoft has come a long way from the dark days of frequent malware attacks and security flaws making headlines. Microsoft has now shared the untold, and thrilling, story of the Security Development Cycle at SDLstory.com with anecdotes of the early days, and never-before-seen video footage and photos of the key players.
While in the earliest days, hacking was just an underground hobby, the media attention that security attacks received made it fascinating for cybercriminals as an opportunity for fame. I think its more of patching jailbreaks and ways around getting leaks as well as other hacks just like apple does.

I see it this way, I've had smart phones starting back with the titan, android phones from the start of android and many friends with them as well and have not once been "hacked" or got some kind of mail where crap. Gotta love when they hide a patch in an app update, apple is famous for that.
