Details are scarce right now, but we've heard on good authority that there will be a major change to the Windows Phone world. On Chris Pirrillo's LockerGnome live stream, @Barnacules revealed that there will be a big breakthrough for Windows Phone that "will upset the world" without giving any additional details.

No. No. No. That would be the death of WP. No developer would make a WP app anymore.

Anyway, so who are these 2 guys? How would they know about this big break through?

Like the good old days. It was Google, MSFT, and Oracle (Java) as one.

Imagine a World were Google, MSFT, Oracle Java (Android) re join forces.

That will upset the computing world.

And it will be revolutionary again. And iOS would be a thing of the past.

They talk about "upsetting" world. I guess it is somehow related to IOS or Android now somehow coming closer to WP on some area. I don't except nothing before I see it.

Stop dreaming about running Android apps on Windows Phone. That would just be crazy and would go against the UI guidelines set by Microsoft and make the OS look bad.

I'm pretty sure it is the 3D gestures. It would, after touch screen smartphones be the next revolution among smart phones. IPhone was the touch revolution, the McLaren will be the 3D gesture revolution if well implanted.

What I hope most, no matter what it is he refers to, is that neither Google or Apple can copy it within 2 years. That would give WP enough time to take over smartphone world.

All in all has to be a feature or overwhelming thing that makes people want to forget the app gap and choose WP anyway. Just as when people took an iPhone simply for the new experience, leaving behind much more functionality that was at Windows Mobile.

It would certainly help for those who like WP but just need one or two must have Android apps.

Flip side being less motivation for native apps.
