BBC iPlayer Radio becomes more functional with new update

BBC rolled out iPlayer Radio for Windows Phone earlier this year, but a lot of users complained about the app being non-functional on devices like the Lumia 930. BBC has since rolled out a new version with bug fixes and general tweaks which is targeted at offering a much better experience.

What they have actually done is break it so it no longer works at all. It seems to have been overwritten with a copy of the standard (TV) iPlayer and does not allow any radio progammes (live or catch up) to be played. If I was being charitable I would put this down to a cockup in their change management procedures and they didn't release what they actually meant to release.

Edit: Just tried a manual uninstall and re-install (for the third time in the last 24 hours) and this time it has given me the proper iPlayer Radio app rather than the (TV) iPlayer app it was delivering before which seem to confirms my above suspicions.
