Windows Phone users looking for contactless payments can now use Softcard to pay at over 20,000 outlets in the US. The service, which is formed out a joint venture between AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, lets you easily pay at eligible locations via NFC.

And only if it is an AT&T sourced phone. Downloaded the Softcard app a few days ago and dropped by the AT&T store to get a secure SIM today. Tried to set up the account but said my phone wasn't compatible. Gosoftcard.com site doesn't even list a Nokia 1520 under their compatible phone list. Spent 45 minutes on Support line only to be told that my 1520.3 that I got from Newegg is the reason. They had me uninstall the app and reinstall to try to remedy the problem. However now when I try to download the app it will not allow it with the "your phone is not compatible" message . Big waste of time.
