My new Dell XPS 13 with non-touch display is frankly amazing

Overall this looks great and is the front runner for my MBA 11 replacement.
2 things that I really need to get more info on:
1. Trackpad, trackpad, trackpad. How good is it really? Somebody with experience on Macbooks and has had a hands on with the XPS 13 have some input? Hopefully Best Buy can get one in that I can try out, but this is the main thing holding me back from getting rid of my MBA.
2. Battery. I don't need the QHD display. Sure it would be nice, but battery is more important for me. There is a reason I put up with the terrible display on my MBA, because it was the tradeoff of getting fantastic battery life.
So with the 1080p display... Does battery come close to the advertised 15hrs? I'd honestly be fine with 11-12hrs of basic use, but I am always skeptical of what is being advertised when it comes to battery.

If these two points turn out to be positive, I will list my MBA immediately and be ordering the new XPS 13. So far it looks like the laptop that will be doing some long term travel with me!
