    Costco members thinking of pre-ordering a Surface 3 have a treat in store with the retailer putting out some decent sounding bundles. Along with the tablet your pre-order will get you a black Surface 3 Type Cover and a silver Surface Pen for $100 more than the RRP.

    Good 'ole Costco!

    We all know the new S3 will be priced a lot lower after MS realizes it's gauge for pricing must be less.
    The pen option is very nice!

    Low end notebooks are still a better deal IMUO...

    I wouldn't count on a significant price drop. This is their sixth Surface device and they keep pricing them at a premium. Aside from end of life inventory reduction, I don't believe Microsoft lowered the base price for previous versions. There were occasional bundles and accessory deals.

    This thing for now just isn't an awesome contender for what's on the shelves now.
