Today, Apple announced numerous new versions of their current hardware. In fact, there was not a single surprise due to the thorough leak last week by 9To5Mac's Mark Gurman. That is not Apple's fault, of course, just the nature of the technology reporting these days.

In case you missed the news, you can head to our sister site iMore who have been covering the event all morning. Everything from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (with an optional keyboard and a $99 stylus) was announced along with an updated Apple TV.

So, after Steve Jobs lambasted the Surface for being a "toaster and a refrigerator," Tim Cook decides to copy the Surface. And especially to focus on copying all of the things people didn't like:

* Not a desktop OS? Check.
* Unable to run full desktop programs? Check.
* Sell the keyboard separately so people have to pay extra for it? Check.
* Take it a step further by also charging extra for the stylus? Check.
* Charge a price that is more expensive than mid-end laptops, especially after charging extra for the keyboard and stylus? Check.
* Can we make sure it is at least several ounces heavier than the Surface 3 (which runs a real desktop OS)? Check.
* How about making it hundreds of dollars more expensive than the Surface 3? Check.
* How about half as much memory as the Surface 3, while still charging that $799 price? Check.

Fanboys will still buy it. And it looks like a very nice display. But as an "enterprise tool," this is a complete fail.
