I think one of the biggest underlying issues with MSFT, is they try to accommodate everyone, and it some cases may try to over-accommodate. I personally think the Skype preview app that let you switch between Microsoft Messaging and Skype was amazing. Having the luxury to switch in the peoples app was a convenience that hasn't been rivaled yet. The Skype integration now is not too bad, however it lakes the duality to get notifications like you would via SMS. MSFT needs to determine what type of video teleconference client do they want Skype to be? A business targeted one, or a consumer targeted one? Skype is still the preferred business VTC model. The question is what do you personally prefer...Skype, Facetime, Facebook, What's App, or Kik?
