Threads read in the app are not marked as read on PC?

I recently started using the Windows Central app (at least the trial) and I noticed that I can read a thread with the most recent replies on my phone, but when I'm on my pc, it shows as unread.

Is this a trial version thing or a glitch?

I just wanted to post to say that this issue seems to have went away after buying the app, which has me questioning if this was really an issue or not originally.
